The Government Museum was constructed way back in 1876 by Colonel Sankey near to the famous Cubbon Park at Kasturba Road in Bangalore. The museum is a wonder land where one can find a number of vestiges that date back to 3000 BC i.e. from the Indus valley civilization, especially Halebid, Vijayanagara and Mohenjodaro.
