Built in 1864, the famous Cubbon park is located near Gandhi Nagar in Bangalore. The park was constructed by the then viceroy of Bangalore, Sir Mark Cubbon and was hence named after him as Cubbon park. Sir Richard Sankey engineered the Cubbon park with such finesse that it serves as one of the prime tourist attractions in Bangalore.

Gandhi Bhavan is situated at the Kumara Krupa road in Bangalore. The Bhavan was built in the late 40's under the direction of Rajendra Prasad, the then president of India. It was originally named as Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, but later the name changed to Gandhi Bhavan.
