Jawahar Lal Nehru Planetarium was built in 1989 at T. Chowdiah Road in Bangalore. The main aim behind establishing this massive planetarium was to offer understanding of the life beyond earth, facts of the universe and knowledge of the solar system to the people especially students. The planetarium houses a sky theater with a huge dome that has a diameter of 15 meters. The theater has a seating capacity of 225 people. Two shows run in the theater on daily basis between 3 - 4:30 PM. There is also an observatory inside the planetarium that vaunts a professional six-inch code refractor telescope. The planetarium is truly a wonderland and is a must watch site in Bangalore. So do not miss on this Bangalore's attraction while you are in the city.
