The festival is celebrated by the people of Bangalore with fun and devotion. 'Kadalekaye Parishe' festival also called 'Peanut festival' falls in the month of November when the first peanut crop appears. The farmers celebrate the first crop of the year with due reverence. Welcoming crops, seasons, people etc are a part of our colorful culture. Our farmers do not view farming as any other profession rather they worship it and that is how we are different from the rest of the world. On this day the farmers visit the famous bull temple and offer prayers to seek blessings of the bull god.
